The materials have created so many opportunities for creativity, collaboration, curiosity, and friendship. One of our favorite moments is watching students who may not normally play together come up with games or activities using the new equipment and invite others to join. The chalk has also become a favorite, giving students a chance to draw, create, and share their ideas. When our students first saw the materials, they were SO excited and could hardly wait to take everything outside. They continue to find new ways to use the resources, and they truly do not want recess to end!\r\n\r\nAs we continue through third grade, we are focusing on building a strong classroom community where students feel comfortable working with, encouraging, and including one another. The new recess resources are helping reinforce these skills through cooperation, communication, problem-solving, and creative play. Our next step is to continue encouraging students to invent new games, include others, and use the materials in creative ways. It has been so rewarding to see these resources bring our students together, spark their curiosity, and create meaningful friendships while they have fun.","fullyFundedDate":1778125986628,"projectUrl":"project/learn-hard-play-hard/10136125/","projectTitle":"Learn Hard, Play Hard!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Leum","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7880428_orig.jpg?crop=533,534,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1681917342849","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7880428"},{"teacherId":9316636,"projectId":10097825,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of my classroom grant!
