Students and teachers have been using these classroom whiteboard for a variety of projects. \r\nThey are the perfect size and have cleaned up nicely each time we have used them.\r\nI would resume they have been used by 10 teacher and about 300 students so far this year. We are floating these in our school library so other classes can utilize then when they are not in use for Robotics. \r\nThank you for supporting this project. Due to the government shutdown, SNAP benefits were temporarily paused, which greatly affected my community and peers. Mazama High School, located in Klamath Falls, Oregon, is an economically disadvantaged community, with around 3/4 of students affected by food insecurity. I knew I had to do something, and so I founded the Mazama Food Pantry (now called \"Castaneda's Closet\").\r\n\r\nOne of the great prides I took in this project was allowing the students a chance to choose what they wanted for the week. Some kids had very big families, some had siblings under school age, and some students were on their own for meals, all of which necessitate choosing items specific to their needs.\r\n\r\nWhen students first started using the pantry, they were hesitant to ask for things they needed. Once I got to know them and their needs over time, I was able to make connections with these students, and could start to gauge what the students liked, and what they wouldn't choose, which is when I started Donors Choose to keep food students liked stocked in the pantry.\r\n\r\nYour generous donation helped feed over 10 families in need, and the kids were very grateful to receive vital food for them and their family's development. Every week I take the students to the hospital to participate in clinical rotations and one of the stipulations for clinical rotations is that my students eat a snack before they rotate; the snacks you have provided ensure my students have a successful rotation in which they experience in valuable time with healthcare professionals and patients. My students are also holding some of our CPR mannequins in which you have provided the lungs to utilize for rescue breathing; before I had the lungs to put in my CPR mannequins, I had to direct my students to envision chest rise, which is a pivotal part of the CPR curriculum. Now I have the opportunity to not only teach proper rescue breath form, but my students also have the opportunity to see the visual of actual chest rise.
