Many of my students are working to attain basic skill sets needed for survival. Others are refining techniques that will make them employable in the future. Teaching high school Life Skills has opened my eyes to the need for mastery of functional routines that will enable my students to be independent. I am striving to improve my students' cooking, cleaning, and social skills; these tools will help get the job done! By conducting acts of service, my students are strengthening their role in the school community. We need social stories, cleaning tools, office equipment, and a ball pump for PE.
