One favorite moment so far has been watching the class come together during our read-aloud—everyone seated close, listening, and eager to talk about the story. It's clear that the rug has helped transform our classroom into a more welcoming learning environment.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, this rug will continue to be at the center of our daily learning routines. Students will use it as a space for partner talks, small group lessons, and class projects where we share ideas together. There are also student jobs that have been created to keep it vacuumed each day. With these books, we've been able to introduce strategies like analyzing characters' choices, identifying themes across different stories, and building stronger vocabulary in context. Students are also practicing how to cite evidence, make predictions, and connect what they read to their own lives.\r\n\r\nThese books are helping our students not only grow as readers but also fall in love with learning.
