They are creating their own art and sharing what they created with one another. They are using a variety of materials with different textures to help with tactile sensitivity. The laminator and plastic sheets serve a gratifying effect for my preverbal students. It gives them a sense of predictability and participation during group activities. I can see the joy on their faces when they are able to participate in identifying their feelings, sort colors, choose a letter or number to show understanding of number and letter recognition. It is heart warming to watch. \r\nThere are so many things that can be done to make sure that ALL of my students are given an opportunity to show what they know, what they are learning and what they are creating.
