We are already putting the new tennis-ball chair covers to great use every single day.\r\n\r\nHow we're using the new resources:\r\nOur students move frequently from one center to another throughout the day, which means lots of chairs being pushed in and pulled out. With 18 active learners, the room used to get noisy quickly. Now, the tennis-ball covers make transitions smooth and nearly silent. Students can shift between activities without the loud scraping that used to interrupt learning.\r\n\r\nA specific classroom moment:\r\nThe day we opened the package, we conducted a \"sound test.\" I had the students listen to a chair sliding without the covers, and then again with the tennis-ball covers attached. They were so surprised by the difference. It was such a joyful moment.\r\n\r\nStudents' first reactions:\r\nPure excitement. They loved being part of the experiment and immediately noticed how much quieter it was. This is especially important for students who may be on the spectrum. We often don't realize how such a small change can bring comfort to their highly sensitive sensory systems.\r\n\r\nNext steps for our learning:\r\nNow that the room is quieter and transitions are smoother, we are diving deeper into our center-based learning activities. \r\n\r\nThank you for supporting such a meaningful improvement in our classroom.
