My students were ecstatic to see the new materials coming in, such as whiteboards, dry-erase markers, and headphones. These have helped students dive back into their learning. It also gives them more ownership of these materials because they know they were bought for them. It also makes my day as a teacher run just a bit smoother, not having to find working materials for the students to use during a lesson. \r\n\r\nMy students also loved all the new additions to our art supplies and treasure box. This group especially loves stickers and finds that reward very motivating. Having fresh and exciting rewards helps my students celebrate their successes in the classroom and find something that is motivating to them. I love incorporating art within my class as well, and the addition of new supplies will help me continue to do that. The few additions to our flexible seating selection have also been a huge hit in my classroom. Students like the ownership of choosing their working space, and having more options gives them more choices.\r\n\r\nMy third graders will be able to finish the year strong, knowing that they are important and that others care about their success in school. I plan to continue ensuring my students have the materials they need to learn and also have fun while at school.","fullyFundedDate":1770060349047,"projectUrl":"project/fun-flexible-and-refreshed/10031196/","projectTitle":"Fun, Flexible, and Refreshed!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cavender","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8160645_orig.jpg?crop=1440,1440,x1357,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1635482334233","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ecavender"},{"teacherId":9509513,"projectId":10011069,"letterContent":"My students movement has grown with all the new tools and toys that I received. There are tools to increase balance and mobility and there are toys that are used as rewards for working hard, though strength activities are always snuck in when possible. \r\n\r\nThe students love the dart target board as a reward for completing more difficult balance tasks. The balance balls and Squigz activity has made several kids that do not like to work on balance try it. They have enjoyed the bowling set for the bowling activity but also love counting the numbers and seeing the different faces on each pin. \r\nThe students can be a little hesitant at times to participate on the tall balance beam but once they try it a few time they begin to gain more confidence in their ability and are willing to try it with less convincing and assistance. \r\n\r\nThese tools have either helped to motivate the students since they get fun activities as rewards or the tools have created more challenging scenarios and allow the students to work on higher level activities. Either way, the kids are moving and their confidence is growing and they are willing to try new things which make them stronger and happier kids. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for the support.
