Students made their own air planes, created a solution to launch the farthest and highest rocket using different amounts of baking soda and vinegar and learned about how the four forces of aerodynamics affected their flight of the planes they created. We use the whiteboards, erasers, and pens to answer questions in class without students screaming out loud or having to raise their hands, and they use them as \"scratch paper\" to show their work on their assignments, which helps save paper. The tennis balls were put on the legs of the chairs which helps to cut back on noise when students are scooting their chair back to get out of their seat. This is especially helpful during testing times as it minimizes distractions to other students still testing. \r\n\r\nThe students loved seeing the new supplies, especially the tennis balls, and couldn't wait to begin using it. Before, students were having to share whiteboards. Now, our classroom has enough for each student to have their own. I have been incorporating these materials daily since we've received them. It has been wonderful to have a \"toolbox\" when students need some extra support to be successful. Students who have been unable to participate in music previously can now do so. \r\n\r\nI have several students who are sometimes unable to control their bodies and the wobble cushions and weighted items have helped them to join the class in a safe way. The fidgets have helped my students who need a moment to regulate their emotions to calm down then rejoin the group. The adaptive instruments have allowed my students with limited mobility to be able to participate in activities.\r\n\r\nFor example, I have a first grader who has really struggled to participate in music for a long time. Recently, I offered him a wobble cushion and he not only chose to use it, but sat on the first row and participated appropriately in class.
