Each of our classes has about 18 or 19 students, and seeing all of them in their ears created a wonderful sense of community. While these ears may seem like a simple accessory, they served as a powerful tool for imagination that transformed our classrooms into a world of wonder. The excitement was palpable the moment the boxes were opened. For many of our students, this was their first experience with the iconic magic of Disney, and wearing the ears made them feel like they were part of something truly special.\r\n\r\nThis project did more than just provide a fun accessory because it served as a creative catalyst for our curriculum. Throughout the week, we integrated Disney themes into our daily learning to engage students in complex tasks. We used interactive technology to take virtual field trips through the parks. The headbands acted as a physical bridge between the digital world on the screen and the physical environment of the classroom. By wearing their ears while navigating these digital tours, the students felt like active participants in the technology rather than just passive observers.\r\n\r\nThe impact was especially visible in students who typically struggle with social engagement or classroom participation. One student in particular often feels overwhelmed by large group activities, but he found a new sense of confidence while wearing his ears. He became a leader during our virtual park tour and guided his peers with a level of enthusiasm we had not seen all year. It was incredible to witness how a simple gift could lower barriers to learning and help our students feel celebrated and inspired. These whiteboards have made a huge impact on my classroom. My students handwriting looks amazing! Having new whiteboards with handwriting lines has been a game changer for sure. Our old whiteboards were falling apart and the lines were barely visible. I was so happy to be able to replace them. We use our new boards daily, not just for neatness with writing letters, but to practice writing words (cvc, cvce, words with blends and digraphs, heart words, etc.) and sentences.
