Because of you, my kindergarten students are using these new materials every day during writing. We have been incorporating them into small-group instruction, center rotation, and whole-group lessons, which has helped students stay engaged, focused, and excited about learning.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, my students were thrilled. They love when I open new items for the class. They were eager to touch and explore. I have a few students who struggle with holding a pencil and one student who receives services from an Occupational Therapist. The grippers were a hit with the student. She is starting to form her letters and numbers. \r\nNext, we will continue using these resources to strengthen foundational skills and deepen our current lessons. Technology plays a very different role in our classroom. In our room, devices are not used for entertainment. They are used for targeted reading instruction, writing practice, phonics support and individualized learning pathways. The headphones you provided allow each student to clearly hear instructional videos, digital read-alouds, and guided practice without background noise. This helps them stay focused and truly understand the content being taught.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is the independence the headphones give them. Instead of being distracted by the sounds of 20 other devices, they can concentrate on their own assignments and move at their own pace. They love being able to dive into their reading lessons, respond to prompts, and listen to stories with clarity. The headphones have also boosted their confidence. I have students who once struggled to stay on task. They are now more engaged and eager to continue learning.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have especially benefited from this new technology. One of my students who often found it difficult to focus now slips on his headphones and becomes fully absorbed in his reading activities. Another student who is shy about reading aloud has been able to practice fluency privately and has begun participating more during whole-group lessons. These small but powerful changes show just how much this resource has supported their growth.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has created a calm, focused learning environment where every child can thrive. Thank you for giving my students the tools they need to succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1760551138425,"projectUrl":"project/are-you-listening-helping-students-tune/9436960/","projectTitle":"Are You Listening? One of our first projects was designing and cutting a custom door hanger for our classroom. They loved seeing how the machine worked, cutting out the vinyl and how we were able to place the vinyl on the wooden round to make a door hanger. \r\n\r\nWhen the Cricut Maker 4 was first unboxed, the excitement was instant and electrifying. Students gathered around to watch it cut the first design. Their faces lit up, and one student shouted, \"It looks like magic!\" They were amazed that a machine in our classroom could make professional-looking items that could be personalized for them.\r\n\r\nWe're planning a bigger project where students will create school spirit shirts and bulletin board displays. These designs will not only brighten our classroom but also allow students to showcase their creativity across the school.
