Practice and game time are so much more fulfilling given the new resources. Instead of thinking about logistics and how to navigate the strained parameters around various drills, organization, etc. creative coaching can take place and students are given a greater opportunity to engage with their passion in a more meanginful way. \r\n\r\nExamples:\r\n1 - Reversible Jerseys\r\nPlayers were in white and red jerseys during practice, and they have a uniform to bring to practice each day. This increases pride in being a part of the team, along with ease of organiation during each practice. There is greater comradery during drills too. \r\n2- Sticky Mats\r\nWe are about to host our first home game in several years. Our floor has struggled to be grabblable for shoes, so the players are excited to host with this new accessory.\r\n3- Basketballs\r\nSimilar to the jerseys, doing drills is a lot easier knowing we have a reasonable supply of basketballs. We did dribbling drills, and all players have been getting exponentially more reps with their own basketball, instead of having to wait in a line each time. \r\n4 - Coach's Dry Erase Board\r\nIt has been a great peace of mind to be able to have a working board and marker to draw up plays in the moment and have a clear visual for the players. \r\n\r\nThese young men are grateful for these increased resources. They normalize not having things, but they thrive when proper offerings are given.
