My students use technology and social media to connect with their families and work on school projects. They do this and more in the school library. Aside from being avid readers, my students create video projects that are shared with peers and younger students as a teaching tool that builds character and tolerance among our diverse community. The library program at our school provides the students a safe place to express themselves. It is an area where adults get a glimpse into the daily life of kids "just being themselves". The library strengthens our students' chances for success in college and careers. The students share digital projects via our school's website.
