Each book takes us on a journey to a different city in Latin America, from Oaxaca to Bogotá, allowing students to explore geography, culture, and language all at once.\r\n\r\nIn Kindergarten, reading is joyful, interactive, and full of discovery. We gather in a circle to read aloud together, and the students love echoing the Spanish words and pointing out familiar places. These books have helped us introduce key early literacy skills—like identifying text features, using illustrations for understanding, and developing vocabulary in both English and Spanish. One of my students, whose family is from El Salvador, was especially proud when we read Vámonos a San Salvador.
