Kindergarten students are interested in many topics. I want to provide my students with learning opportunities that will not only provide them opportunities to increase their knowledge in the topic, but also to value what lives around them and how they as a person can make a difference in their community or the world. The Biddy Farm with Fertile Chicken eggs will give my students the exciting opportunity to experience for the first time the life cycle of baby chicks through hands on activities, observations, predictions, class discussions, drawings, and writing. Learning about the life cycle of baby chicks will provide my students a unique learning experience with unforgettable memories and information. My students will be observing the different stages in the chick life cycle, have discussions, make connections, draw, write, read, and share with family members about what they are learning. Most of the students have never experienced or seen a baby chick or been in a farm. This project will be their first opportunity to be part of the amazing power of nature.
