These resources provided our young learners with hands-on ways to understand and manage their emotions, practice coping skills, and develop stronger self-regulation strategies throughout the school day.\r\n\r\nStudents enjoy listening to the SEL-focused books and engaging in conversations about feelings, empathy, and positive ways to handle challenges. The sensory bottles and fidget tools have become valuable supports, helping students calm their bodies, regain focus, and rejoin learning activities more successfully.\r\n\r\nWe have observed that children are more aware of their emotions and are beginning to use language from the stories to describe how they feel. They are also showing greater independence in using sensory tools to self-regulate when they feel overwhelmed or need a break.\r\n\r\nOverall, the addition of these SEL materials has created a more nurturing and emotionally supportive classroom environment—one where students are developing lifelong skills for self-awareness, emotional control, and positive social interactions.","fullyFundedDate":1755734106483,"projectUrl":"project/emotions-in-kindergarten/9629763/","projectTitle":"Emotions in Kindergarten","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Roberts","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4218670_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1484772642261","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-roberts4thgrade"},{"teacherId":4122292,"projectId":9492850,"letterContent":"I want to thank you again for supporting the students in my classroom.
