I am truly grateful for your thoughtfulness and support of our music students.\r\n\r\nThe toner has already been such a big help. There are times when the main printer at school is down, and having access to a reliable printer allows me to get printed music to students quickly and without interruption. Toner can also be quite expensive, so your donation has made a meaningful difference.\r\n\r\nThe tissues are just as appreciated. With the high number of students who use the music room each day—especially during sniffle season—we go through boxes very quickly, sometimes one a week. Having them readily available helps keep students comfortable and focused on learning.\r\n\r\nThe reeds are for my 5th and 6th-grade beginning band students, specifically those playing alto saxophone and clarinet. At this early stage, students often struggle to keep their reeds in good condition. Even a small chip can make proper embouchure difficult and can cause squeaks, which can be frustrating for new musicians. Having extra reeds on hand is a huge help for both students and instructors.\r\n\r\nYou might be wondering about the Rainbow Loom bands—they are actually used for a recorder! Students earn \"belts\" each time they master a new song from the Recorder Karate book. In the past, we used ribbons and later yarn, but both became quite costly and time-consuming to manage. A coworker suggested Rainbow Loom bands, and they have been a wonderful, affordable alternative. The students are just as excited to earn them, and they are much easier to organize.\r\n\r\nThe guitar picks and ukulele books are for my 6th-grade beginning ukulele classes. As students learn, their enthusiasm often leads to broken picks, so having extras on hand is essential to keep everyone playing and engaged.\r\n\r\nThank you again, from the bottom of my heart. Your generosity directly supports our students and their musical growth, and I cannot thank you enough for helping make music accessible and joyful for them.","fullyFundedDate":1776441841285,"projectUrl":"project/magical-music-classroom-supplies/10053591/","projectTitle":"Magical Music Classroom Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Flores","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8424964_orig.jpg?crop=512,512,x0,y64&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1770094760032","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8424964"},{"teacherId":8424964,"projectId":9914958,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your incredible generosity. The music program here in Cypress, CA, is truly grateful for your support. I recently began using the printer, as it took some time to secure funding for the ink. I hadn't realized the printers already came with ink—my mistake—but now that everything is up and running, it has been such a tremendous help. \r\n\r\nI've been using the printer to prepare music for our upcoming performances over the next few weeks. While students do have access to online music sheets, it simply isn't the same as holding a physical copy they can write notes on, highlight, and carry with them wherever they go. Having printed music in their hands has brought a new level of focus and excitement to their rehearsals. \r\n\r\nI'll also be using the printer to create props and materials for our music classes, helping bring lessons to life in creative, hands-on ways. And thanks to your support, I can finally decorate my classroom on time this year—something I haven't been able to do in a long while. Much of the décor in my music room is 6–7 years old, so refreshing the space will make it feel brighter, more welcoming, and more inspiring for the students. \r\n\r\nYour kindness is felt every day in our classroom. Thank you for believing in our students and in the power of music.","fullyFundedDate":1767137606011,"projectUrl":"project/magical-music-class-printer/9914958/","projectTitle":"Magical Music Class Printer","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Flores","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8424964_orig.jpg?crop=512,512,x0,y64&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1770094760032","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8424964"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_28176","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":700,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":26,"percentAsian":69,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":8,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":12,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"25.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":89.0,"schoolId":28176,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Margaret Landell Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Margaret Landell Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/cypress-school-district/margaret-landell-elementary-school/28176"}
