Recently, my student learned how to code using a programmable sphere during a field trip. With an ipad and two of these programmable spheres in our classroom, groups will have a chance to create interesting projects such as mazes, fun tasks for the spheres, and more! This experience will provide all students a chance to meaningfully code for each other. For example, a pair of students could create a maze with tape on cardboard for the sphere robot to travel. They will practice creating a code and making sure the robot could make it out of the maze with specific rules. Then, they could allow another pair of students to try it. Our class will start with the maze project and move to other fun projects.
