My students and I were so excited to see each new thing as they arrived. The students in my class helped to unpack, organize and put together the tools as we received them. I even asked our construction class teacher to have his students put together the amazing hose reel you helped fund, which they did an amazing job on! \r\n\r\nThe impact these things have had on how I run my class and the required participation expectations I have on my students has been tremendous. They have used the tools to tend to our garden beds, rake leaves for our compost bins, including turning the compost regularly. The new hose reel, hose and nozzle has allowed the students to water our plants and the compost bins on a regular basis. We planted the seeds in the classroom with repurposed egg containers and transplanted the seedlings in the beds. While we had some success, not everything took. But that's okay, the kids and I understand it is a learning process! And lastly, I think the kids appreciate the gloves the most - lol! Most do not like getting their hands dirty so the gloves took care of that issue.\r\n\r\nMy gratitude is vast for all of you! Your generosity in giving to education, especially to the students that I work with, meant so much to me. It warms my heart to see former students, along with others who are special to me, express their kindness this way and I am so, so happy for all that you have done to make my job just a bit easier.
