WOW! These have completely changed our learning lives. Every student now keeps their very own pair tucked safely inside their des. This has created a beautiful mix of independence, responsibility, and, let's be honest, far fewer arguments about who gets the \"good\" headphones. Before your donation, we basically had two reliable pairs and a handful that were holding on by hopes and prayers. Now? Every kid can plug in, focus, and dive into their math or reading lessons without the entire class listening along. My ears thank you. The students thank you. The walls thank you.\r\n\r\nThe Sharpies have been a colorful dream. We use them constantly, especially during our Wednesday Workshop art projects, where we mesh social studies, culture, and art. In November we learned about Día de los Muertos and created bright, bold calaveras—and let me tell you, these kids went ALL IN with the colors. Their artwork looks like something you'd find in a gallery run by very enthusiastic (and slightly messy) third graders.\r\n\r\nWe also started our second read-aloud of the year: Dragons in a Bag, which you helped bring to our shelves. You didn't just help purchase one, but the whole set! Third grade is such a big reading transition—picture books to graphic novels to chapter books—and this story has them absolutely hooked. There is already a line forming for who gets Book #2 the moment we finish. Your support is literally building little bookworms one chapter at a time.\r\n\r\nSome of the other books you funded, especially the ones about Yayoi Kusama, the \"Polka Dot Princess,\" have sparked amazing conversations about creativity, mental health, disability, and celebrating what makes us unique. Their Kusama-inspired artwork is beautiful. \r\n\r\nThank you again for giving my students the tools to think, create, read, imagine, and express themselves. Your donation didn't just supply materials, it added color, calm, curiosity, and a whole lot of joy to our days.\r\nWe're so grateful","fullyFundedDate":1756176391666,"projectUrl":"project/listen-learn-and-belong-headphones-an/9627728/","projectTitle":"Listen, Learn, and Belong: Headphones and Stories for Everyone","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jones","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10191815_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x309,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755714184491","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10191815"},{"teacherId":9987319,"projectId":9405780,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your generous support of my DonorsChoose project, Math and Reading Centers. Thanks to your kindness, I was able to bring meaningful, high-impact resources into my classroom, and I am excited to share how your contribution is already making a difference.\r\n\r\nWith your support, I was able to provide my students—especially those who are learning English—with essential phonics and math materials. These resources have truly begun to transform our learning environment. At the start of Kindergarten, ten of my students (almost half of my students) did not yet know their letter sounds. In just two months, I am proud to share that all ten now know all 26 letter sounds. This incredible growth is due in large part to the beginning-sounds center activity, which helps students match initial sounds with corresponding pictures. It has also expanded the vocabulary of my English-learning students. One student, for example, knew what a hammer was in her native language but had never learned the English word. Activities like these have helped her—and many others—build confidence and learn English in a safe, supportive, and engaging way.\r\n\r\nThe math centers have been equally powerful. Practicing counting to 10, making 10, and comparing numbers has strengthened my students' understanding and boosted their confidence. Engaging with key vocabulary such as greater than, less than, equal to, more, and fewer has helped them develop a deeper understanding that numbers represent real, meaningful quantities.\r\n\r\nThe impact of your generosity extends far beyond the materials themselves. Your support has inspired my students to approach learning with excitement and joy. They are absolutely thrilled when it is time for reading and math centers. Please know that your contribution is not simply an investment in classroom supplies—it is an investment in the future of the students I am honored to teach. The positive effects of your kindness will continue to resonate throughout their academic journeys and beyond.\r\n\r\nI am excited to continue using the remaining center activities as my students progress—recognizing middle and ending sounds, identifying rhyming patterns, practicing sound switches, exploring addition and subtraction, and learning about 2D and 3D shapes. They have already shown tremendous growth this year, and I cannot wait to see how far they will go by the end of the school year.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your generosity and for believing in the power of education. Your kindness is truly making a difference in the lives of my students, and I am incredibly grateful for your partnership in their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1753291052755,"projectUrl":"project/math-and-reading-centers/9405780/","projectTitle":"Math and Reading Centers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Robin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9987319"},{"teacherId":2428330,"projectId":9184982,"letterContent":"The project you funded is already making a huge difference in my classroom. Students specifically love using the microphone ball we've named \"Blueberry\" and it helps our class hear one another during class meetings. \r\n\r\nI now have all the markers I need for creating anchor charts to keep track of our new concepts and make them visible to all my learners. The sheet protectors are helpful for placing in photographs and images that students observe when I launch a new unit. \r\n\r\nThe set of new headphones is such a relief to have! All of our school headphones break quickly and that's really frustrating when kids use them throughout the week for various online activities. Now that I have a class set of high-quality headphones, I don't have to worry about having enough working pairs.\r\n\r\nI appreciate your kind and generous donations and appreciate your ongoing support.","fullyFundedDate":1746920676887,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-supplies/9184982/","projectTitle":"Classroom Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Behrend","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2428330_orig.jpg?crop=980,980,x1650,y160&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1589574764699","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2428330"},{"teacherId":3691516,"projectId":9179515,"letterContent":"My kindergarteners were so thankful to have a fresh set of books in our classroom library! \r\n\r\nIt was fun watching students get excited about new and engaging materials! When the books arrived in the Spring, students were excited to help label them and place them in our classroom library bins, then they all looked forward to their turn for book shopping to pick new books.
