Last year a parent donated two Dash robots to our STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) program and they proved to be highly engaging for our intermediate aged students. They combined coding language, technology and creativity and provided for many different lessons and projects. Unfortunately, with only two robots, we had to have large groups sharing the robots with only short interactions with each student. In addition, we had to borrow mini tablets from another classroom each time we used the robots. We need four Galaxy mini tablets and two Dash Robots to help them learn about technology, coding and the engineering process. By adding two more robots and four dedicated mini tablets, our STEM robotics project will be expanded greatly and our students will learn important technological skills in an engaging and creative environment.
