The lamps in our reading nook have created a warm, welcoming atmosphere where students seem to be more cozy while reading! It truly is amazing to see how small additions like lighting and cushions can help students relax and feel more at home. \r\n\r\nThe organizing bins have been a lifesaver for me as a teacher, as students know exactly where to find their headphones and extra supplies they may need, leading to more independence and responsibility in our classroom. I have to say, though, the visual timer that we have up on the board may be a class favorite and has been a game-changer for students, as it helps them better manage their time, stay focused, and understand expectations during lessons. It is one of their favorite additions to our classroom. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity and for making our classroom more functional and inviting. Our little classroom is decorated with handwritten resource posters that has helped my students succeed in their Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies classes. Everyone has notebooks. Our class is able to establish clear routines thanks to all the school materials that we have in our inventory. My students were surprised at the amount of materials that were delivered to us. They are very grateful and are excited to make full optimal use of them. \r\n\r\nMy main goal with these materials is to get my students motivated to practice essential learning skills while learning grade-level lessons. ELA in particular had been a challenge. However, since introducing interactive notebooks with the composition notebooks donated to us, engagement has increased by a lot, and my students are evermore interested in the topics we are learning in class.","fullyFundedDate":1759419506651,"projectUrl":"project/resourceful-resource-room/9773861/","projectTitle":"Resourceful Resource Room!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Roa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10293816"},{"teacherId":10109090,"projectId":9772806,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom through the project \"A Few Necessities.\" I truly cannot express how meaningful your generosity has been for my seventh-grade students and for me as their teacher. Because of you, our classroom is better equipped and also provides a more comfortable environment for students, where they feel more supported and can be engaged and learn every day. \r\n\r\nI teach both seventh-grade ELA and Social Studies, which means that our days are filled with a lot of reading, writing, discussions, critical thinking, collaboration, and testing. As you know, Middle School can be a challenging time for students, both academically and emotionally, and the items you donated have made a real difference in helping them be successful in class. Both the desk dividers and headphones have made a noticeable difference in our class and have allowed students to test more privately, which has reduced anxiety and distractions, and this has truly helped them show me what they know. The headphones have also allowed students to have access to audiobooks, online assessments that can be read to them, and instructional videos, for those who don't have their own. I also want to send a big thank you for the books donated to our classroom library, because the books chosen came directly from students' wish lists and have been invaluable as we implemented \"First Chapter Fridays\" and allowed for the checking out of even more books than our school library has available. \r\n\r\nLastly, the snacks that were provided, which might seem simple, have made a huge impact in the classroom. Imagine how many students come to school, having just rolled out of bed, and did not eat breakfast, or come to me at lunch with nothing to eat! They know they can count on me to provide Pop-tarts, popcorn, and more, to get or keep them going for the day, and they have proven to be a huge brain power booster during longer testing days. \r\n\r\nBecause of donors like you, our classroom feels more inclusive, more engaging, and more supportive, so on behalf of my seventh graders and myself, thank you for making such a positive impact.","fullyFundedDate":1759242245242,"projectUrl":"project/a-few-necessities/9772806/","projectTitle":"A Few Necessities","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Brewer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10109090_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754753450929","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10109090"},{"teacherId":3323510,"projectId":9773826,"letterContent":"Our students are making good use of your donations! We've been able to use the materials to create a smoother, more focused learning environment where students feel supported and ready to engage. One of the most impactful changes has been the simple but meaningful availability of sharpened pencils. Because of our donors, students no longer have to worry about coming to class unprepared or losing valuable learning time searching for supplies. Instead, they can begin each lesson confidently, knowing that everything they need is within reach.\r\n\r\nA moment that stands out is a recent ratio-solving activity where students rotated through stations. In previous months, I would see students stall because they had broken pencils or ran out of paper. This time, thanks to the donations, they jumped right into the project without hesitation. Even better, we introduced a positive incentive system, if they aced their homework, solved a tough problem, or made noticeable progress on a test, they could choose a snack from our classroom supply. Seeing their faces light up as they proudly collected a granola bar or fruit snack was a reminder that small celebrations can make a huge difference in motivation and self-confidence.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students' reactions made everything worth it. They were genuinely excited, many of them touched the supplies with wide eyes, amazed that people they had never met cared enough to support their learning. Their favorite part, by far, was the snack box. Several students shared that it helped them feel calmer and more focused knowing that if they came to school hungry or needed a boost, they didn't have to be embarrassed or distracted. These donations gave them the peace of mind to simply be kids who can learn, grow, and enjoy their day.\r\n\r\nOur donors got a meaningful peek into our classroom by contributing, and there is so much more happening next. As we continue our unit on ratios and problem-solving, students will be applying what they've learned to small group challenges and real-world scenarios. The games we now have—like Connect 4 and Rummikub, serve as rewards during breaks and help build teamwork, strategic thinking, and classroom community. These resources don't just support academics, they support joy, connection, and the social skills that matter just as much.\r\n\r\nThanks to the generosity of our donors, my students don't have to worry about school supplies or whether they'll have a snack to get them through the day. They get to focus on what truly matters: applying themselves in school, growing their skills, and enjoying their friendships. Their confidence has grown, our classroom environment feels more secure, and every day they're reminded that people believe in them. Your support has made learning not only possible—but exciting, comforting, and full of opportunity.","fullyFundedDate":1757699177182,"projectUrl":"project/math-is-magical/9701112/","projectTitle":"Math Is Magical","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Islas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10160023"},{"teacherId":10277619,"projectId":9786011,"letterContent":"Thanks to your support, my students are thriving with the new classroom organization and incentive tools!
