Because of you, my students now have the organizational supplies they need to feel calm, prepared, and confident when they walk into our classroom each day.\r\n\r\nWith these materials in place, our classroom runs more smoothly than ever before. Students can quickly find what they need, return materials independently, and transition between activities with less stress and confusion. Something as simple as clearly labeled bins and organized workspaces has made a meaningful difference in how students manage their learning and their time.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students, structure and consistency are essential. These supplies help create an environment that feels predictable and supportive—one where students can focus on learning instead of worrying about lost papers or messy spaces. I've already noticed students taking more ownership of their materials and showing pride in keeping our classroom organized.\r\n\r\nYour generosity didn't just provide supplies—it helped create a learning space where students feel capable and supported. Thank you for investing in our classroom and in the everyday moments that make learning possible.","fullyFundedDate":1759194676773,"projectUrl":"project/bright-boards-bright-minds/9772374/","projectTitle":"Bright Boards, Bright Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Spruell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9242074"},{"teacherId":10160023,"projectId":9701112,"letterContent":"In our classroom, the new resources have transformed the way my students and I learn together each day. We've been able to use the materials to create a smoother, more focused learning environment where students feel supported and ready to engage. One of the most impactful changes has been the simple but meaningful availability of sharpened pencils. Because of our donors, students no longer have to worry about coming to class unprepared or losing valuable learning time searching for supplies. Instead, they can begin each lesson confidently, knowing that everything they need is within reach.\r\n\r\nA moment that stands out is a recent ratio-solving activity where students rotated through stations. In previous months, I would see students stall because they had broken pencils or ran out of paper. This time, thanks to the donations, they jumped right into the project without hesitation. Even better, we introduced a positive incentive system, if they aced their homework, solved a tough problem, or made noticeable progress on a test, they could choose a snack from our classroom supply. Seeing their faces light up as they proudly collected a granola bar or fruit snack was a reminder that small celebrations can make a huge difference in motivation and self-confidence.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students' reactions made everything worth it. They were genuinely excited, many of them touched the supplies with wide eyes, amazed that people they had never met cared enough to support their learning. Their favorite part, by far, was the snack box. Several students shared that it helped them feel calmer and more focused knowing that if they came to school hungry or needed a boost, they didn't have to be embarrassed or distracted. These donations gave them the peace of mind to simply be kids who can learn, grow, and enjoy their day.\r\n\r\nOur donors got a meaningful peek into our classroom by contributing, and there is so much more happening next. As we continue our unit on ratios and problem-solving, students will be applying what they've learned to small group challenges and real-world scenarios. The games we now have—like Connect 4 and Rummikub, serve as rewards during breaks and help build teamwork, strategic thinking, and classroom community. These resources don't just support academics, they support joy, connection, and the social skills that matter just as much.\r\n\r\nThanks to the generosity of our donors, my students don't have to worry about school supplies or whether they'll have a snack to get them through the day. They get to focus on what truly matters: applying themselves in school, growing their skills, and enjoying their friendships. Their confidence has grown, our classroom environment feels more secure, and every day they're reminded that people believe in them. Your support has made learning not only possible—but exciting, comforting, and full of opportunity.","fullyFundedDate":1757699177182,"projectUrl":"project/math-is-magical/9701112/","projectTitle":"Math Is Magical","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Islas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10160023"},{"teacherId":10277619,"projectId":9786011,"letterContent":"Thanks to your support, my students are thriving with the new classroom organization and incentive tools! They are using the mailboxes to keep track of graded work and handouts, which has helped them build responsibility and stay organized. During a recent math project on ratios and proportions, students were able to collect and organize their materials in their mailboxes, and it made group work much smoother and more focused. The mobile desk has allowed me to move around and provide support directly where students need it, making lessons more interactive and keeping everyone engaged.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students were so excited! They couldn't wait to check out their personal mailboxes, see the prizes on the tiered shelves, and pick out a small snack or drink after completing tasks. Their energy and enthusiasm were contagious—it felt like the whole classroom buzzed with motivation.\r\n\r\nNext, we're continuing to integrate the incentive system into our daily routines. Students will earn rewards for teamwork, participation, and consistent effort as we tackle upcoming lessons in math and science. For example, during a recent challenging math lesson on rates and percents, a few students were struggling to stay focused. I noticed that students who used a fidget toy were able to settle their nerves and participate more actively in small group discussions. Others used Brain Bucks to pick a small snack as a reward for finishing their practice problems, which kept energy and motivation high.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students were over the moon! They couldn't believe we had real \"classroom currency\" they could use to pick out fun, meaningful rewards. Their faces lit up as they explored the fidgets and stuffed animals, and the excitement brought a whole new energy to the classroom.\r\n\r\nNext, we're continuing to integrate Brain Bucks into our daily routines. As we start new units in math and science, students will be using their Brain Bucks to set goals, celebrate teamwork, and practice self-regulation during more challenging lessons. I'm looking forward to seeing them apply the same focus, motivation, and care they've shown so far to our upcoming projects and investigations, and the materials will continue to help them feel supported, confident, and ready to take on any challenge.","fullyFundedDate":1762269523682,"projectUrl":"project/power-tools-for-learning-snacks-squish/9755805/","projectTitle":"Power Tools for Learning: Snacks, Squishies and Success","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Attar","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10277619"},{"teacherId":10294279,"projectId":9776165,"letterContent":"Off the top our students from WMS would like to thank each and everyone who supported our project. We have implemented a ticket system in our class and the students love the candy as a reward for their tickets. The stickers have been great motivators to use when students are working. While they are completing group or independent work and we see that they are focused and completing the work we give them a sticker. Once other groups sees that stickers are being haded out they start to focus too. They are also great because at the end of the week students who keep up with their planners get a sticker and that motivates them to write down their assignments each day.
