The hands-free scanner stand has truly transformed our checkout process. Students absolutely adore scanning their library cards and checking out their own books—something that previously required an adult to do with a handheld scanner. Now, they proudly slide their books under the scanner, wait for the cheerful beep, and light up when they see their titles appear on their accounts. It has created a new sense of independence, ownership, and excitement around reading.\r\n\r\nThe puzzle table has also quickly become a beloved part of our library. As soon as we set out our first puzzle—an impressive wild-cat scene—students flocked to it, eager to collaborate and test their puzzle-solving skills. It has become a calming, community-building activity where learners of all ages can slow down, connect, and contribute a piece to a shared accomplishment. Thank you for enriching our learning space with tools that not only support reading but help our students grow as thinkers, collaborators, and self-managers.","fullyFundedDate":1755719728658,"projectUrl":"project/tools-to-read-connect-and-grow-in-our/9563014/","projectTitle":"Tools to Read, Connect, and Grow in Our School Library","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Finnegan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6981528_orig.jpg?crop=352,352,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1628640618418","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6981528"},{"teacherId":6981528,"projectId":8621461,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity in supporting my project! The clear, themed bins have already begun transforming our library and the way students interact with books. As I begin to organize books into easily accessible themes, students can more easily find topics that excite them on their own. Kindergarteners, who are just learning to navigate the library, are especially drawn to the nonfiction section, exploring books about animals, space, and other fascinating topics with enthusiasm. The front-facing displays catch their attention, encouraging them to pick up books and explore new genres they might not have noticed before.\r\n\r\nYour support has helped create an environment where students feel confident and excited about reading.
