The resources have been woven into our daily routines, from small-group literacy activities to open-ended exploration during centers. One of my favorite moments was watching students collaborate using the materials to problem-solve together — talking through ideas, trying again when something didn't work, and celebrating their successes with confidence. These tools have supported not only academic learning, but also communication, persistence, and creativity.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate and genuine. They were eager to explore, ask questions, and engage right away. Many of them carefully examined each item and began making connections to things we had already learned in class. It was clear that having hands-on, engaging resources helped students feel more motivated and invested in their learning. For several of my students, especially those who learn best through movement and exploration, these materials made learning feel accessible and fun.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, these resources will continue to support our current lessons as we deepen skills in literacy, math, and inquiry-based learning. Students are using the materials to extend projects, practice new concepts, and build independence during center time. Because of you, my classroom is a richer, more engaging learning environment where students feel supported, curious, and excited to learn. Thank you for giving my students this opportunity — your generosity truly makes a difference.\r\n\r\nWith gratitude,\r\nNora Savoy","fullyFundedDate":1671458760904,"projectUrl":"project/giving-children-autonomy/6861099/","projectTitle":"Giving Children Autonomy!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Savoy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8183393"},{"teacherId":9726602,"projectId":9049525,"letterContent":"I want to say thank you so much for donating to my classroom. My students were able to stay awake, focus, and have some snacks for the afternoon. We eat lunch so early and it really came in handy for them in the afternoon. When I put the store together and they came in they were excited and happy to see the things that were ordered. My students not only had energy but they were engaged and had brain power to do the things they have never done before.\r\nOn the days they tested I made sure they had a breakfast bar so that they would not be hungry. The bar also made them more alert and they were really focused. Every student grew six or more on their test which made me very proud. Without your help I wouldn't have had the year I did.
