As we opened the boxes and they saw the colorful prizes, snacks, and toys, the room filled with gasps and cheers. One of my students shouted, \"We're going to work so hard for this!\" Their eyes were wide with excitement, and they immediately understood that these rewards were a celebration of their efforts.\r\n\r\nWe have created a \"Motivation Station\" in our classroom, and it is already working wonders. Students earn chances to visit the station for demonstrating perseverance, mastering a new math skill, or showing exceptional kindness.\r\n\r\nJust yesterday, a student who has been very shy about reading aloud finally volunteered to read a whole page to the class. She was nervous but so proud. Afterward, she got to be the first to choose a prize. She picked a small squishy toy, and she held it at her desk for the rest of the day with the biggest smile. Your donation made that moment of achievement tangible and unforgettable for her.\r\n\r\nThis boost in motivation has come at the perfect time! We are just wrapping up our unit on multiplication and division, which can be a big challenge. My students are now extra motivated to practice their facts and tackle tricky word problems, knowing their hard work will be recognized.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students these powerful, positive reinforcements. You haven't just given them snacks and toys; you've given them confidence and another reason to come to school excited to learn.","fullyFundedDate":1761138225912,"projectUrl":"project/rewarding-hard-work-and-growing-minds/9850134/","projectTitle":"Rewarding Hard Work and Growing Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Trigoso","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10162343_orig.jpg?crop=180,180,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755089736304","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mstrigoso"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_45839","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":260,"numTeachers":24,"percentFrplEligible":53,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":15,"percentWhite":4,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":76,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"10.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":77.1,"schoolId":45839,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Ludlam Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Ludlam Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/miami-dade-county-public-schools/ludlam-elementary-school/45839"}
