What a gift you have given to my 6, 7, and 8 year olds. The Chomp Saw quickly became as accessible tool for all of my students to create the shapes they wanted to cut on their own. We have been working on structures for the past 2 weeks, offering no guidelines except they have to be able to explain what it is to their peers and they need to be able to make it on their own, 100%. \r\n We have homes with pools, parkour playgrounds, skyscrapers, farms, cell towers, abandoned bridges, and more. Children have inspired others to add to their creations by telling stories about what they would do in their structures if they could. At first, we saw lots of squares and rectangles being cut, but as soon as one student discovered how to make more complex cuts, everyone wanted to try it. THIS IS HOW YOU TEACH CREATIVITY! Children experimenting, conceiving stories, and taking inspiration from others around them.\r\n What is most exciting about the Chomp Saw is the independence the students feel when working with it. Thanks to your support, we were able to create a beautiful natural bird blind and enhance the local animal habitat. This new addition has become a vital learning tool for our students, allowing them to connect with nature in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nOur students have been using the pond and the bird blind to observe local wildlife, study ecosystems, and engage in hands-on learning. One of the most exciting moments was when we launched a project to document the different species of birds that visit the pond. The students eagerly grabbed their notebooks and binoculars, taking detailed notes and observations. It was inspiring to watch them get so excited about something so hands-on, and they were thrilled to see the birds up close in their natural environment.\r\n\r\nWhen the new materials arrived, the students couldn't wait to dive in! Their reactions were filled with awe and curiosity. The sight of the new equipment, which was specifically designed to enhance the pond's ecosystem, sparked numerous questions and ideas. They immediately started brainstorming how they could use the tools to further improve the pond and create additional projects.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our next steps involve using the pond as a living lab for our current environmental science lessons. We plan to study water quality, plant life, and how the changes we make affect the ecosystem. The bird blind will continue to serve as an observation point where students can collect data and track wildlife activity, deepening their understanding of ecological balance and sustainability.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for making all of this possible.
