My 1st grade students were so excited when they first saw what they will get to use everyday during centers. The students ask everyday if they will be able to use flexible seating. They get to use the flexible seating whenever they go to Reading centers. They use them when are on their computer for I-Ready or reading their independent book. Moving forward I will start having the students use the flexible seating during math centers. My students always use it during our fun Friday time. The students were so excited to see the new materials and had such a great lesson learning how to dribble with both the feet and with their hands. In the past we would have to line up in groups and take turns sharing balls while learning how to dribble. This year every child had the own ball which doubles the amount of time they get to learn these valuable skills. \r\n\r\n After having time to practice dribbling the students then particapated in a variety of games to show off their skills. Once students demonstrated the ability to dribble they then got to participate in either a soccer or basketball scrimmage. They have had a great time learning these skills because of donors like you!
