Everyone probably has memories of using scooters in their elementary physical education class. The problem is that the four we have left are probably the same four I used 30 years ago. Like much equipment, scooters have evolved. Current scooters have handles as well as larger wheels that will allow us to use them outside on our court. Scooters are great equipment with such a variety of uses. Everything from simple relays, to basketball and hockey, can be made more challenging by incorporating the use of a scooter. We will use these scooters to learn the difference between moderate and vigorous physical activity. With your support, my students will be able to create memories of fun times that they will never forget.
