I enjoy using different types of media to reinforce skills and strategies that we are learning. Videos and worksheets are great, but being able to read a story with visuals and ideas that they can relate to help to engage with them. Picture books have wonderful stories that even my older students can have fun with reading and discussing. \r\nThese books have helped to make our sessions more dynamic and fun! I remind students that although they are capable and encouraged to read longer chapter texts, the lessons and themes in the picture books are still informative and interesting. It can help to build their confidence as well in seeing how far they've come from when they were younger and reading these books on their own or with their classes. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your support and funding.
