My students have shown great interest in our small but mighty classroom library. Many students have signed out some of the books you donated! So they are veering towards the \"I survived\" series, Nathanial Hale's Hazardous Tales, and the History Smashers. \r\n\r\nMy students have wrapped up a multi-part unit on US States and Capitals, regions, and map skills. Many of my students have used the flashcards in preparation for their 50-state and capital test! The average score on their test was a 85%! Some students expressed that they liked using the games with or without their notes and other classroom materials! \r\n\r\nAs we return from holiday break, we are starting a new unit and diving into the Americas' pre-Columbian era and before European contact. We will be focusing on different Native American tribes throughout the present-day United States and into Central America. To kick off the unit, I will read aloud \"Fry Bread: A Native American Family Story\" written by Kevin Noble Maillard. I will also be displaying the other Native American texts and encouraging my students to sign them out for independent reading. None of this would be possible without your generous donation.","fullyFundedDate":1762532667459,"projectUrl":"project/ms-dunton-loves-social-studies-books-an/9838716/","projectTitle":"Ms. Dunton Loves Social Studies Books and Games!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dunton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10296918_orig.png?crop=1169,1170,x0,y682&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760640751084","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10296918"},{"teacherId":10266669,"projectId":9721846,"letterContent":"I want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous donation of school supplies—including pencils, a paper cutter, Clorox wipes, snacks, and other essentials.
