With these materials, our students designed and built the entire butterfly garden themselves—from sketching the layout to installing garden borders, planting native pollinator seeds, and even constructing a beautiful trellis that now stands as the centerpiece of the garden. Watching the students take ownership of this space, problem-solve, and work collaboratively has been truly inspiring. They were genuinely excited each time a new supply arrived and expressed deep gratitude for every item gifted by donors like you.\r\nThanks to your generosity, we have officially begun the creation of our learning butterfly garden, and the students are already observing the early stages of growth and the arrival of small pollinators. This garden is quickly becoming a peaceful, hands-on environment where students can explore science, ecology, and environmental stewardship in meaningful, engaging ways.\r\nOur next steps include adding a small water feature to support more pollinator species and installing umbrellas at the outdoor tables so students, staff, and visitors can sit comfortably while enjoying the garden and the butterflies around them. We are excited to continue expanding this space and nurturing the sense of wonder it brings to campus.\r\nThank you again for believing in our students and supporting their vision. Your gift did more than fund supplies—it empowered our students to build something beautiful, living, and educational that will continue to grow right alongside them.","fullyFundedDate":1765141144132,"projectUrl":"project/bringing-nature-to-campus-a-butterfly-g/9654182/","projectTitle":"Bringing Nature to Campus: A Butterfly Garden for Environmental Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hertz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10193190_orig.jpg?crop=1172,1172,x0,y35&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756248076089","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10193190"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_47075","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1667,"numTeachers":83,"percentFrplEligible":52,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":39,"percentWhite":24,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":27,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"20.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":84.4,"schoolId":47075,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Lincoln Park Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Lincoln Park Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/st-lucie-public-schools/lincoln-park-academy/47075"}
