They have provided practical, research-based strategies that I can apply directly in my classroom while also encouraging me to reflect more deeply on my teaching practices. Through these readings, I have become more self-aware as a teacher and more intentional about the choices I make during instruction, classroom discussions, and interactions with my students.\r\n\r\nThe books have also helped me strengthen my cultural awareness and responsiveness. My classroom is made up of students with diverse backgrounds and experiences, and these resources have helped me better understand how to create lessons and classroom practices that honor and support that diversity. With the strategies and insights I've gained, I am better able to create a learning environment where students feel seen, respected, and encouraged to share their ideas and perspectives.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, these books have expanded my instructional toolkit. I now have more strategies to support student engagement, critical thinking, and meaningful discussion in the classroom. Because of the generosity of donors, I am able to continue growing as an educator while providing a more inclusive, thoughtful, and engaging learning experience for my students every day.","fullyFundedDate":1758639068902,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-educators-elevating-learning/9395102/","projectTitle":"Empowering Educators: Elevating Learning Through Professional Growth","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bacon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9119588_orig.jpg?crop=2208,2208,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1715312689936","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kbacon"},{"teacherId":10005837,"projectId":9316308,"letterContent":"When our hydroponic station arrived, the excitement was immediate. Students love checking on the pods, noting changes in their observation journals, and comparing how fast each herb is sprouting. Even those who are usually hesitant to write have been motivated to capture their discoveries and sketch the roots and leaves they see.\r\n\r\nThis project has naturally woven into our science curriculum with making observations. The next step is to harvest our herbs and use them in a simple class recipe, helping students see the full cycle from seed to table.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, my students aren't just learning about plants from a book, they're experiencing the wonder of growth firsthand, sparking curiosity and building connections that will last far beyond this project.","fullyFundedDate":1746729287191,"projectUrl":"project/green-thumbs-up-hydroponic-learning/9316308/","projectTitle":"Green Thumbs Up: Hydroponic Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Valencia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10005837_orig.jpg?crop=1170,1170,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746582519167","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10005837"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_46343","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":510,"numTeachers":35,"percentFrplEligible":52,"percentAsian":7,"percentBlack":31,"percentWhite":26,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":28,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":78.8,"schoolId":46343,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Lincoln Magnet School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Lincoln Magnet School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/hillsborough-county-public-school-district/lincoln-magnet-school/46343"}
