We use these resources during small-group lessons, centers, and intervention time to help students practice skills in an interactive and engaging way. One moment that stood out was during a math center when students used the hands-on games to practice number sense and problem-solving. Students were talking through their thinking, helping one another, and staying focused for longer periods of time than usual.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, they were excited and curious. Many of them wanted to explore the games right away and asked when they would get to use them. The hands-on nature of these resources made learning feel fun and less overwhelming, especially for students who need movement, visuals, and repeated practice to be successful. Students who are often hesitant to participate became more confident and eager to join in.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, our next steps include using these materials to deepen understanding in math, reading, and fine motor skills. Students will continue rotating through learning centers, working collaboratively, and building independence while reinforcing essential skills. These hands-on resources are helping create a classroom environment where students are engaged, motivated, and able to learn in ways that work best for them.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has truly made a difference in our classroom, and we are so thankful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1768170688242,"projectUrl":"project/engage-explore-excel-with-hands-on-le/10001542/","projectTitle":"“Engage, Explore, Excel With Hands-On Learning”","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Meador","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1428415_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1699021609352","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/vmeador"},{"teacherId":9348260,"projectId":7984797,"letterContent":"Thank you for giving my students the opportunity to practice their math facts in fun ways through the use of games. The joy and happiness that the rewards brought to my student's faces was priceless. It might seem like such a little thing to us, a toy to take home to keep, but for my students it was a BIG treat. The students' faces lite up with excitement when they learned that they were able to pick a toy to keep for all of their hard work. The artists were able to choose smelly markers (very big thing in the world of kids), the engineers were able to choose different Lego sets to help build, those who enjoy games were able to pick from several different games, and the animal lovers were able to adopt a whole set of animals. My students work hard on the speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in English all year long, it was heartwarming to be able to provide individual gifts for them.
