The anticipation leading up to birthdays has strengthened the classroom community as students now look forward not only to being celebrated themselves, but to celebrating others with kindness.\r\n\r\nThis project has also positively impacted student social-emotional growth. They are testing brewing temperatures to perfect a cup of coffee, comparing waste before and after recipe adjustments, scanning products to track ingredients and inventory, and evaluating energy use to make environmentally responsible decisions. I can see that a different world of possibilities are opening up to them. The most important part of this, is that they are trying something new. Covid really affected the imagination and effort of students to try something new and different, and I can see this coming back to life through this project.\r\n\r\nWe, my students and myself, would like to truly thank those that made it possible.
