Printing materials in color allows me to highlight key information, color-code steps, and organize content in a way that reduces confusion and supports comprehension. Lessons that were once text-heavy are now clearer, more engaging, and better aligned to student needs, which helps students work more independently and with greater confidence.\r\nWhat excites students most is seeing their work come to life in color. Assignments feel more meaningful and personalized, and students are more motivated to participate and complete their work. Several students, especially those with learning disabilities or visual processing challenges, have responded especially well to the color-coded materials. These resources have already become an essential part of our daily learning. We use the whiteboards constantly for warm-ups, quick checks for understanding, brainstorming ideas, and collaborative problem-solving. One of my favorite moments so far has been watching students confidently share their thinking on the boards during class discussions—students who are usually hesitant to speak out feel more comfortable showing their ideas visually and participating in the lesson.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, my students were genuinely excited. They immediately asked when we could start using the whiteboards and were eager to grab markers and jump in. Something as simple as having clean, functional materials made the classroom feel more professional and motivating for them. It set the tone that their work matters and that this is a space meant for active learning, not just passive note-taking.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through our current units, students will keep using the whiteboards to practice skills, collaborate with peers, and receive real-time feedback. My students were so excited when I gave them the news that items were purchased for our classroom. Being a moderate to severe special education teacher, we often get overlooked when it comes to donations. The job duties of a special education teacher is vastly different from a general education teacher. These donations help take the burden off the teacher and free up mental space for us to focus on our kids, and not have to worry about funding. It is so common for teachers, especially special education teachers to use their personal paycheck and put it right back into their classroom. This is because we care about the well being of our students, and it shows that donors like you do as well. Again, thank you! Since their arrival, the resources have been integrated into daily lessons, small-group activities, and collaborative projects.
