Book fairs do so much more than fill shelves; they build confidence, open up new worlds, and help every child discover the magic of turning the next page.\r\n\r\nThe teacher wish list bins were a hit with parents! Many stepped up to support our classroom libraries directly by picking out books from our teacher wish list bins. Teachers were thrilled to have new stories to share with their students. My students are thrilled to have a variety of puzzles to explore. My younger students are beginning in their puzzle skills and have enjoyed the large ocean animal floor puzzle. The floor puzzles are great at helping them match colors and shapes to fit as they also get valuable fine motor skills time.\r\n\r\nMy older students have really enjoyed the puzzle by number style of puzzle. Many, including myself, have never tried this style and we are delighting ourselves in the novelty of stretching our brains in new ways. My older students have loved the various puzzles so much that we have a dedicated table in the media center for our ongoing school puzzle. After students have checked out their library books, while they are waiting for other students to finish their book search, student crowd around the table.
