Your kindness has provided our kindergarten students with an exciting and interactive tool that we can use every day.\r\n\r\nThe easel has already made a wonderful impact on our learning. We use it during morning meetings, phonics, letter and sound practice, writing, math lessons, and small-group activities. The magnetic surface allows students to move letters, numbers, and other learning materials as they participate in hands-on lessons. The dry erase board also gives us another space to model skills and let students practice their learning.\r\n\r\nAt this age, children learn best when they can see, touch, move, and participate. This easel helps keep our students engaged and gives them more opportunities to come up to the board, share their thinking, and learn together.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your donation has helped make our classroom a more engaging and inviting place to learn. We are incredibly grateful that you chose to invest in our young learners.\r\n\r\nThank you for making a difference in our kindergarten classroom!\r\n\r\nWith gratitude,\r\nOur Kindergarten Class","fullyFundedDate":1778630480812,"projectUrl":"project/learning-through-play-hands-on-literacy/10277470/","projectTitle":"Learning Through Play: Hands-On Literacy and Math Centers for Kindergarten","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kim","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10335032"},{"teacherId":10488033,"projectId":10277037,"letterContent":"These headphones have already been so helpful in the classroom. They have made beginning-of-the-year screening easier and more comfortable for students. My students have especially noticed the soft headband and earmuffs; with all the testing we've done, they no longer get the headaches they used to get from the school headphones.\r\nBeyond testing, the semi-noise-canceling feature has been a real help in our open classroom. \r\nStudents can put the headphones on when they need to focus, and the quieter environment lets them concentrate better on independent work and assessments. That comfort and ability to tune out distractions is what students say they love most about the new headphones, and it's making a noticeable difference in how calmly and successfully they approach learning tasks.","fullyFundedDate":1784898296234,"projectUrl":"project/plug-into-learning-new-headphones-sma/10277037/","projectTitle":"Plug Into Learning: New Headphones & Smart Storage Needed!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Arruda","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10488033_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1779473244451","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10488033"},{"teacherId":10361770,"projectId":10092534,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom! Your generosity has made a meaningful difference for my fourth, fifth, and sixth grade art students. When the new materials arrived, the students were excited and eager to begin creating. Many of them immediately started talking about the projects they wanted to make, and they were thrilled to use high-quality art supplies that helped bring their ideas to life.\r\n\r\nWe have already been using these resources in a variety of art lessons focused on creativity, color, texture, and design. One of my favorite moments was watching students proudly share their finished artwork with classmates, explaining the creative choices they made. The new materials gave them the confidence to experiment, solve problems, and express themselves in ways that would not have been possible otherwise.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, these resources will be used in many more projects that help students build artistic skills, creativity, and confidence. They will explore new techniques, collaborate with classmates, and create artwork they are proud to display at school and take home to their families. Thank you for investing in our students and making these meaningful learning experiences possible. Your kindness and support have had a lasting impact on our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1772741708281,"projectUrl":"project/building-creative-thinkers-through-hands/10092534/","projectTitle":"Building Creative Thinkers Through Hands-On Art Experiences","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bader","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10361770_orig.jpg?crop=1477,1476,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1771958737587","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10361770"},{"teacherId":10242991,"projectId":9686099,"letterContent":"Flexible seating has made a remarkable difference for my K–2 students with moderate intellectual disabilities by giving them the freedom to learn in ways that feel safe, comfortable, and empowering. Many of my students have unique sensory, motor, and regulation needs, and having options like wobble stools, floor cushions, and beanbags allows them to choose a space that supports their bodies and attention. When students feel physically grounded and calm, they are more engaged, more willing to participate, and more confident in trying new tasks.\r\n\r\nBeyond comfort, flexible seating has transformed the overall tone of our self‑contained classroom. It encourages independence by letting students make choices about where they learn best, and it fosters a sense of ownership over their environment. I've seen students who once struggled to stay focused become more motivated and successful simply because they can move, wiggle, or settle into a spot that works for them. This shift has created a more inclusive, responsive learning space where every child can access instruction in a way that honors their strengths and supports their growth.","fullyFundedDate":1761149043548,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating/9686099/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cooper-Nabel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10242991_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759106226625","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10242991"},{"teacherId":10242991,"projectId":9920537,"letterContent":"Having literature that my K–2 students with moderate intellectual disabilities can access and talk about on their AAC devices has transformed the way they connect with stories. When books are paired with vocabulary they can express, my students suddenly have a voice in the reading experience. They can label characters, share observations, and participate in discussions that once felt out of reach. This access builds confidence, strengthens language skills, and helps them feel included in a core part of early childhood learning. Watching them light up as they \"say\" something about a book—sometimes for the very first time—is incredibly meaningful.\r\n\r\nBeyond communication, accessible literature has deepened their engagement and sense of belonging in our classroom community. When students can interact with stories in a way that matches their abilities, they become active participants rather than silent observers. They make choices, answer questions, and share ideas alongside their peers. This shift has created richer literacy moments, stronger relationships, and a classroom where every child's voice—spoken or generated through AAC—is valued and heard.","fullyFundedDate":1767802894636,"projectUrl":"project/ela-for-aac-device-users/9920537/","projectTitle":"ELA for AAC Device Users","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cooper-Nabel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10242991_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759106226625","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10242991"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_58852","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":396,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":15,"percentIndigenous":8,"percentLatinx":68,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":2,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"14.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":66.1,"schoolId":58852,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Lehi Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Lehi Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arizona/mesa-public-schools/lehi-elementary-school/58852"}
