This is a fun game that can be used to review any subject. I've used it for both reading and math. When teams get answers correct they get to throw a paper ball into the trash can. You won't believe how excited they get when playing this game. The best part is they're collaborating with their team members while using accountable talk and text evidence to defend their answer choices. Another helpful purchase is the daily vocabulary slides I use. They help kids feel confident about using new vocabulary. I use the white card stock in varies ways, one is to make sturdy reference sheets for students to keep at their desk. They use these daily. The velcro dots help me display large anchor charts around the room to help students remember important concepts and strategies. Lastly, I reward my students with the mints for making good choices. They are one of their favorite treats. One of our class favorites that you helped to purchase is the Tetra Tower game. I tried to purchase this through school funds, but was unable so thank you for bringing this unique game to our classroom. This game requires critical thinking which is so important for students to practice. \r\n\r\nAnother favorite indoor activity is rainbow scratch paper art. These neat sheets help students express their creativity, which builds our self confidence and is just plain fun! My students also enjoy the waffle and magnetic blocks you helped us secure. The light up pop tubes are often chosen from the treasure box encouraging students to practice good choices. The duck lamp alerts students that I'm working with a small group and should only be interupted for emergencies. Students have everything they need at their desk. Before the seat sacks students had to put certain supplies in their cubbies. This would take away valuable class time when students needed certain materials. Now, they are able to keep supplies close by and eliminate the need to get out of their seats. Your donation of the seat sacks makes supplies more easily accessible. \r\n\r\n We have also put the desk pets to good use. My students absolutely love desk pets. In our classroom I use these as rewards for students when their team earns the most marbles in their marble jars. They have to work together throughout the week and when they do I give their team marbles. We count the marbles on Friday and the team with the most get to choose their own desk pet. They even get a little house their desk pet lives in. They look forward to this every Friday. \r\n\r\n Thank you again for your generosity.
