With your donation, we provided warm hats and gloves to students and families, and have more to spare for them next year as well. With your donation, we also have a second spot for students to calm down, which is amazing, as it used to just be my office or the main office. With the cushions, students can come to the stage and relax with me in what we call our \"secondary office\" and \"chill space. It's private, has what they need, including the lap pads and a few other sensory tools I own.\r\n\r\nWith your donation, my students lit up. They immediately were asking \"who sent this?!\" and \"what is all of this?!\" because they are naturally curious. Each student that has been blessed with a new hat, gloves, or a care item such as the lotion, chapstick, or even deodorant, have also been so grateful. It has also made a huge difference because our nurses are no longer being bothered for low level issues such as getting chapstick or lotion for cold weather cracked skin.\r\n\r\nAs for the remainder of the year, our goal is to have a family night where families who need assistance can come for a clothing closet and choose items they may need for over the summer/next year that they may not currently have funds for. It would also be a time for families to see what all we are doing for our students, as well as what we are able to do for them as well.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generous donation. The $1000 went quite a ways to help our small community school, and their families to be successful this winter.
