The iPad has been used daily and is a wonderful tool for students to observe models of work samples and follow along more closely with instruction. This has been great for all of my students as well as specifically helpful to my students that are just beginning to learn the English language and students that are struggling with a particular concept or skill. \r\n\r\nEach day, our class uses the iPad to view a sentence that is incomplete, a run-on or even a sentence that just needs more details. We then, use the writing tools to edit, and correct or add to the sentence to make it more robust. We also use the iPad to help follow step by step instructions to solve math equations. This has been a game changer! I am able to walk around the room while holding the iPad and modeling the math problem. This ensures that every student is engaged and following along.\r\n\r\nI really can't thank you all enough for making this donation to my class.","fullyFundedDate":1755736673301,"projectUrl":"project/the-write-stuff/9584386/","projectTitle":"The Write Stuff","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. McLoughlin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8189199_orig.jpg?crop=998,998,x0,y156&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1637767137304","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8189199"},{"teacherId":2154949,"projectId":9552680,"letterContent":"When the cozy chairs arrived, the excitement in our classroom was unbelievable! The students couldn't wait to curl up with a good book, and their faces lit up the moment they saw their new reading spot. It instantly transformed our classroom library into a calm, inviting space where students want to read.\r\n\r\nNow, during reading time, you'll find students snuggled into the chairs with their favorite stories, sharing books with friends, or exploring new topics they're curious about. It has created a sense of ownership and pride in our reading area, and students are spending more time reading independently and with partners.\r\n\r\nThese cozy chairs have made reading feel special and important. They've helped my students associate books with comfort and joy—something I hope will stay with them for years to come.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue building reading stamina and exploring different book genres. The dollhouse invites a different kind of learning—one filled with imagination, storytelling, and teamwork. Students design rooms, build stories together, and learn to share ideas and space respectfully.\r\n\r\nThese two activities may look like play, but they are powerful learning tools. They combine STEM education with imaginative play, helping students think critically, create freely, and work together. I've seen my students grow more confident, curious, and inventive.
