With you help, we were able to purchase a Black GoPro 13 and accessories. This played a huge role in our success this football season. This had a direct impact on how we filmed practice, reviewed film, and prepared for our opponents each week. The angles at which we were able to film using the 10 foot pole was amazing. The film captured from behind our offense using the wide angle attachment helped improve our teams conceptual understanding of spacing and route running. \r\n\r\nWhat was most exciting for our students was the fact that they got to see their mistakes in real time with the help of Hudl. Uploading, sharing, and reviewing film was seamless with this new equipment. Our student athletes also loved the simplicity of filming their practices and often volunteered to take turns filming when not getting reps. \r\n\r\nOne of our boys who doesn't get to play as much due to injuries, has adapted to becoming our main film guy. He's mentioned pursuing the possibility of continuing to do this in the future. He wants to film NFL games on TV. This was super exciting to hear. \r\n\r\nOnce again, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are a game changer and we appreciate your help. God Bless.","fullyFundedDate":1756389955355,"projectUrl":"project/capture-and-analyze-in-4k/9354993/","projectTitle":"Capture and Analyze in 4K","teacherDisplayName":"Coach Val Benoit","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10035528_orig.jpg?crop=1895,1895,x994,y766&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747191509831","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10035528"},{"teacherId":2315194,"projectId":9303044,"letterContent":"When our students first saw the brand-new pens and markers, the room filled with excitement. Many of them immediately began testing out the colors and writing their names, while others eagerly asked if they could start on their projects right away. For our class, something as simple as having fresh, colorful writing tools made a huge difference in how motivated and engaged the students felt.\r\n\r\nOne of our first projects with the new supplies was creating posters and cards to display in our classroom and around the school. The students took great pride in choosing colors, designing their layouts, and sharing their finished work with teachers and peers. It wasn't just about art — it was about expressing themselves, building confidence, and practicing fine motor and writing skills in a fun way.\r\n\r\nOur next steps will be to use these pens and markers in upcoming assignments, including journaling, classroom presentations, and creative art projects. We are also planning to use them in our C.A.R.E. Academy retail store projects, where students will design handmade crafts and cards to share with staff and parents.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving our students such a simple yet powerful gift. The joy on their faces and the pride in their work is a direct result of your generosity, and we can't wait to keep creating with these wonderful resources!","fullyFundedDate":1750773733861,"projectUrl":"project/write-sketch-stick-tools-for-everyday/9303044/","projectTitle":"Write, Sketch, Stick: Tools for Everyday Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Jesus Garza C.A.R.E.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2315194_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y772&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1726077274739","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2315194"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_16669","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2624,"numTeachers":188,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":99,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":0,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"14.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Weighted Average","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":67.5,"schoolId":16669,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about La Joya Senior High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"La Joya Senior High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/la-joya-independent-school-district/la-joya-senior-high-school/16669"}
