Because of your kindness, my fifth-grade students now have new desks that have truly transformed our learning environment.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw their new desks, their excitement was unforgettable! They could hardly believe that people they had never met cared enough about their education to donate new furniture to our classroom. Many were especially excited that they would no longer have to use our old desks (many of which were broken) that constantly tilted and made it difficult to work comfortably. Seeing their genuine happiness and appreciation was such a special moment for me as their teacher.\r\n\r\nThese new desks have given my students more than just a place to sit. They now have sturdy, comfortable workspaces where they can focus on their learning, organize their materials, and collaborate with their classmates. Each day, we use our desks to solve challenging math problems, create visual models, participate in discussions, and engage in science investigations. Something as simple as having a stable workspace has made a meaningful difference in our daily classroom routines.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, my students will use these desks to explore increasingly complex mathematical concepts, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and work together as young scientists to investigate the world around them. These desks will support countless opportunities for learning, collaboration, and discovery, not only for my current students but for many future fifth graders as well.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, I believe every child deserves a classroom where they feel comfortable, valued, and excited to learn. Your generosity has helped me provide that environment for my students. More importantly, you have shown them that there are people beyond our classroom walls who believe in their potential and want to see them succeed.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for investing in my students and their education. Your kindness has made a lasting impact on our classroom, and we are incredibly grateful!","fullyFundedDate":1785503341348,"projectUrl":"project/desk-refresh/10231508/","projectTitle":"Desk Refresh","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Alkhatib","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9594270"},{"teacherId":5307962,"projectId":10213922,"letterContent":"Your support will have an immediate and lasting impact on my students' learning. They will also create projects that allow them to express their thinking in meaningful, engaging ways. These tools will help minimize distractions, increase focus, and support a variety of learning styles. Having different seating choices has helped students find spaces where they feel comfortable, focused, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were thrilled. Their eyes lit up with excitement as they explored the new seating options and talked about which ones they thought would help them learn best. One student shared, \"This makes school feel cozy and fun!\"\r\n\r\nI've already noticed students staying more engaged during independent reading and partner work. Being able to move and choose a seat that fits their needs has helped many of them focus longer and participate more confidently.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll continue using the flexible seating during math problem-solving, reading centers, and collaborative projects. These resources are helping create a classroom environment where students feel comfortable, supported, and excited to learn.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping make our classroom a place where every student can learn in a way that works best for them!","fullyFundedDate":1766762171641,"projectUrl":"project/flexibility-in-2nd-grade/9950512/","projectTitle":"Flexibility in 2nd grade!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Boone","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5307962_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1523395933552","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-boonesbabes"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_6392","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":457,"numTeachers":52,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":52,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":38,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":3,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"8.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":49.5,"schoolId":6392,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Lw Conder Arts Magnet School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Lw Conder Arts Magnet School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/south-carolina/richland-school-district-two/l-w-conder-elementary-school/6392"}
