My students benefit greatly from having access to a thesaurus, which helps them understand words that have the same or opposite meanings. Each week, we begin with a bell ringer activity where students determine whether words are synonyms or antonyms. This practice allows them to expand their vocabulary and deepen their understanding of word meanings.\r\nTo keep them motivated, I also reward students with small treats such as candy when they answer correctly, show kindness, or go above and beyond in class. These positive incentives encourage not only academic growth but also good behavior and teamwork.\r\nAs a result, my students are becoming stronger readers because they can recognize and comprehend more words.
