As soon as the students saw them on the tables they were so excited about being able to use them. There is something special about a new piece of technology that gets children intrigued and curious. Little did they know they would also be learning while having fun! \r\n That is the best part about STEM and technology! I see students of all ages but the ones who benefit the most are the children in third through fifth grades. These students, while seemingly always having some piece of technology in hand, do not know how to type and cannot find the letters on a keyboard. Because of this, they are struggling to create projects, write papers, and even take tests. They spend so much time seeking and poking keys. Additionally, working on iPads, the keyboard pops up as they type and interferes with their work. With the bluetooth keyboards, the students have been learning the home keys during typing instruction on their iPads, and they have really enjoyed the challenge. Many of the students have begun to increase their \r\naccuracy and are really proud of themselves!
