I call my students my squirrels. They make everything about my day better. They are hilarious, quirky, empathetic, active learners. They work hard and give me 100% of themselves. My squirrels come from a southern rural environment, where they like to play outside and be active. My school is supportive, welcoming, and full of energy. We are working hard at listening to the needs of our students and making sure their voices are heard. My students have terrific ideas with big imaginations and I'm excited to watch them grow.
