When the packages first arrived, my students were absolutely thrilled, jumping up and down with pure excitement as we unboxed the colorful playground equipment and pristine mini dry erase boards. These resources have immediately become central to our daily learning and play routines. During our morning literacy blocks, every child eagerly grabs their individual whiteboard and eraser to practice writing their letters, while I use the large portable dry erase board to model letter formation and guide them step-by-step. A magical classroom moment occurred just this week when a student who typically struggles with fine motor skills confidently held up their board with a perfectly formed letter 'S,' beaming with pride as the rest of the class cheered them on. Out on the recess field, the new playground equipment has turned our outdoor time into a joyful, active space where students are learning essential social skills like sharing, taking turns, and cooperative play. Looking ahead, our next steps are to transition from single-letter formation to building simple three-letter sight words using our whiteboards, while our outdoor recess games will focus on structured teamwork activities to continue building a kind, collaborative classroom community.
