My students are absolutely loving their new games. During indoor recess, students are choosing these games over technology. I am even joining in on the fun and teaching them how to play the various games correctly. It is beautiful to see these kiddos socialize with kids they may not usually play with during outdoor recess. Being indoors for recess could be a drag during these cold, winter months, however with these games students are excited to stay inside!\r\n When the materials arrived, I placed a bunch of games on the back table and didn't say anything to my class. When they noticed, their eyes lit up and asked, what are all those games for? I explained to them that some very nice people donated a lot of money so that they could enjoy their recess time indoors. They immediately shouted thank you and wow how nice. Many of these kiddos are from extremely low income households where something such as games may not be a possibility. This gives them yet another reason to come to school.\r\n From the bottom to the top of my heart, and theirs, thank you for making us a priority. Your kindness and generosity is something that will stay with them for years to come. Our school motto is Be The Change.
