The clock-and-timer units provide students with a clear visual of both the time of day and the remaining work time, helping them stay focused and manage learning rotations independently. The paging system allows me to quietly call small groups for instruction without interrupting the rest of the class.\r\n\r\nDuring math small groups, one clock-and-timer unit is positioned near the teacher table while the second is placed where the rest of the class can easily see it. Students rely on the timers to pace themselves during independent practice and collaborative work. The paging system supports smooth transitions by signaling when it is time for a group to meet with the teacher, keeping learning calm, organized, and uninterrupted.\r\nWhen students first saw the new resources, they were excited and eager to use them. Many students shared that the visual timers helped them feel more confident because they always knew how much time they had. The paging system also helped reduce noise and distractions, making small-group instruction feel more focused and important.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue using the clock-and-timer units and paging system during math rotations to support differentiated instruction and targeted skill practice. These tools allow me to maximize instructional time with small groups while other students work independently. As a result, students are developing stronger time-management skills, increased independence, and greater confidence in their learning.\r\nThank you for providing tools that help create a structured, supportive, and engaging learning environment for our students every day.","fullyFundedDate":1759658913028,"projectUrl":"project/timing-tech-and-teamwork-powering-mat/9786593/","projectTitle":"Timing, Tech, and Teamwork: Powering Math Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Giambrone","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3337422_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1544275831533","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/j-giambrone"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_46335","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":404,"numTeachers":39,"percentFrplEligible":86,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":56,"percentWhite":7,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":31,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"10.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":73.3,"schoolId":46335,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Kenly Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Kenly Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/hillsborough-county-public-school-district/kenly-elementary-school/46335"}
