These resources have already made a big impact on our learning environment. In math lessons, students used the LEGOs to explore area and perimeter by building shapes and counting the studs to measure each side. This hands-on activity helped them clearly see how different shapes can have the same area but different perimeters. In our STEM Club, students have also been using the LEGOs to design and build various projects and models, encouraging creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their excitement filled the room. They immediately began sharing ideas about what they could build and how they could use the LEGOs to solve challenges. It was wonderful to see students who sometimes struggle with traditional lessons become fully engaged when they could learn through building and experimenting.","fullyFundedDate":1763229504008,"projectUrl":"project/future-scientists-engineers-build-with/9476572/","projectTitle":"Future Scientists & Engineers Build With LEGO!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Tucker","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9451397"},{"teacherId":9451397,"projectId":9476429,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, my classroom has been transformed. Thanks to your donation, my 4th graders have been exploring the world of STEM through podcasts, and they are absolutely loving it! We've been listening to stories from real scientists, mathematicians, and engineers, and it's opening their eyes to all the exciting things they can do in the future. The technology has made it so easy to bring these voices right into our classroom, and it's helping students connect what we're learning in math and science to the real world.\r\n\r\nWhat gets the kids most excited is hearing how these STEM leaders got started, especially when they find out they were curious kids just like them! Some of my quieter students have really come out of their shells during our podcast discussions. One student who used to say math was \"too hard\" recently told me, \"I want to be a scientist who helps the planet!\" These moments remind me of the power of this project. Several students immediately asked if they could \"be the teacher\" and use the easels to model blending words for the class. That sense of ownership has made our phonics routines more engaging and collaborative. \r\n\r\nAs we continue working through our current phonics units, the easels will support activities like word building, sound mapping, and small-group intervention. Among these resources are stools for small group work and dividers that create specialized stations. These items are not just additions; they are transformative tools that enhance the way we learn and collaborate. One of the most notable impacts of the dividers is the quiet space they provide for students with autism. This environment allows them to focus better on their tasks without the distractions that can sometimes occur in a busy classroom. By creating a designated area, we support their unique needs and help them thrive in their learning journey. This focus is essential for all students, as it promotes a more inclusive and supportive educational experience.\r\n Moreover, this project would not have been possible without the generosity of our donors. Their contributions have provided us with the resources to create a vibrant and engaging classroom. By investing in our writing classroom, they have given our students a glimpse into what a supportive and stimulating educational environment can look like. The impact of their support extends beyond physical items; it influences the mindset and motivation of our students. As we look ahead, we remain committed to further enhancing our learning environment, ensuring that it meets the diverse needs of all our students while preparing them for the challenges of the future.","fullyFundedDate":1746785623165,"projectUrl":"project/creating-a-cozy-creative-writing-space/9222539/","projectTitle":"Creating a Cozy & Creative Writing Space for Young Authors!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wiggins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9061205"},{"teacherId":9277676,"projectId":9074252,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation of literacy task cards!
