My special education students are using these materials to create handmade items that allow them to practice entrepreneurship skills, communication, teamwork, creativity, and confidence in a meaningful, hands-on way.\r\n\r\nOne of our favorite projects so far has been creating customized crafts and small seasonal items that students can package, price, and prepare for sale. Every step of the process becomes a learning opportunity. Students practice measuring, sorting, following directions, writing labels, and even greeting customers and explaining their products. For many of my students, these are skills that can be difficult to practice in traditional academic settings, but the hands-on experience has helped them shine in ways that are truly exciting to witness. One student who is usually very hesitant to participate proudly told the class, \"I can make this myself!\" That moment alone reminded me how powerful these opportunities are for building independence and self-confidence.\r\n\r\nThe next steps for our students are expanding their small business projects even further. We are working on developing product ideas, improving packaging and presentation, practicing social interactions for selling items, and learning how to manage simple budgeting and profits. Students will continue strengthening academic, vocational, and life skills while creating products they are genuinely proud of.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has given my students more than supplies — you have given them opportunities to feel capable, creative, and successful. Thank you for helping create experiences that empower my students to believe in themselves and their abilities.","fullyFundedDate":1761945739902,"projectUrl":"project/future-employees-and-entrepreneurs/9722212/","projectTitle":"Future Employees and Entrepreneurs!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Glass","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4824291_orig.png?crop=295,295,x0,y89&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1614183893402","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/lori-schaefer"},{"teacherId":4824291,"projectId":9373955,"letterContent":"Your generosity has enabled my student's to have job experience in our classroom setting.
