Students were amazed that others who did not know them would invest in their learning. They love using the supplies that are available to them for daily work, projects and personal creations. Your gifts lifted a financial burden off many of my students' families by not having to buy all supplies at the beginning of school for the students I serve. My students have expressed their relief in having a door window curtain that will keep them safer during intruder drills and/or in the case of a real lock-down, should that happen in our school. Additionally, the light for the teacher's computer area is very helpful when utilizing our Smartboard, so that it isn't pitch dark in the classroom during instruction, providing a safer environment for students. Additionally, the minions (our theme) decals were a big hit for our bulletin boards creating a warm and fun atmosphere to learn.\r\n\r\n Students have utilized materials provided by this grant on novel studies including \r\ndrawing scenes from the books we have read and writing captions.
