When my students saw how many boxes had arrived for our classroom they were brimming with excitement to open them! They were so excited to see all the new items that would make learning more fun and hands on. \r\n\r\nMy students have particularly liked the On Strike books. We recently read Pencils on Strike since we have been struggling with losing our pencils or breaking them. The book was such a great way for my students to hear from the perspective of the pencil and why they wanted to be treated with respect. The book made taking care of our pencils more meaningful since they weren't hearing me say it one more time to keep track of their pencils. \r\n\r\nAnother item that gets used all the time is the wipe off hundreds charts. We love to use this to practice writing our numbers. We even compete with each other to see who can write as many numbers they know as fast as they can. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your contribution! I told them someone special sent us a surprise to help us have more fun while practicing writing. The look on their faces when they saw all the playdough and stamping tools was priceless. They were also so happy to get a new whiteboard since our old ones were cracked and stained which made it difficult to write on and practice our newly learned skills. \r\n\r\nWe use these new resources everyday during UFLI and during small groups. During UFLI we practice writing letters and words on our whiteboards. Since the boards are new we are all able to work more easily in practicing. The playdough and stampers have been a huge hit in practicing our CVC words during small group. My students love to have hands on manipulatives that bring learning to life. \r\n\r\nWe cannot thank you enough for your contribution to our classroom.
